UxA denounces insults of "coward" and "clown" of the mayor to his spokesman (11/07/2019)

The PSOE votes against the amendments of UxA and PP because it makes them work more.

The attitude of the mayor during the plenary session has been to insult the opposition.

It is approved that no councilor charge for their work.

The Plenary of Organization in Alguazas was held on the morning of this Thursday with more tension than expected.

And is that the amendments of the opposition, UxA and PP, have not sat well with the socialist government and have devoted the full to insulting the opposition councilors, even calling the spokesman of UxA "coward and clown" .

But this arrogant attitude of the mayor has gone to more when, even, has tried to throw the speaker full of UxA while he was on his turn to intervene because he was reminding him that his intention was to double the salary and has not found support, has given a tantrum to zero everyone.

A total of two amendments have been voted in plenary, presented by UxA and PP jointly, in which more control and participation of the opposition is requested.

It has been approved the holding of an ordinary plenary session per month, except August, and the creation of up to seven new special commissions, in addition to the three informative ones that were being developed.

The special commissions that are created are: Suggestions and Claims;

Citizen Security and Local Police;

Animal Welfare and Pedanías;

Regulations and Ordinances;

Hiring, Grants and Subsidies;

Staff and Employment;

and Social Services and the Fight against Poverty.

The PSOE has voted against both proposals.

"We are forced to demand more plenary sessions and special commissions to be able to oversee government bodies due to the lack of transparency and information, the opacity and poor management of the local government in many areas." Our voters demand solutions for Alguazas, and it is our obligation to give them, "says our spokesperson.

The plenary has also debated and approved the remuneration agreement, where all the councilors of the Corporation have agreed to leave all remuneration concepts to zero and that no councilor will collect.

From UxA we understand that a mayor should be paid, but there is no explanation for asking us to double the salary and continue part-time, and on top of that there has been no intention of consensus or dialogue on the part of the government.

"They have accused us of wanting to take money, but we have shown that our intention is to work even more and receive nothing, just as we did eight years ago, but the PSOE tantrum is because we want to make them work" concludes García Bernabé (UxA).
