The Mayor of Alguazas City Council, Blas Ángel Ruipérez, has asked the President of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, for funding this initiative that provides for the increase of local tourism, as well as being an additional attraction for users of the Camino del Raise during the next Jubilee Year 2017.

Improvement of local infrastructures In addition to environmental projects, the Mayor of Alguazas has claimed funding for the completion of some infrastructures that result in a loss of important services in the locality.
The first of these is the heated Municipal Pool, which has cost more than 1.5 million euros, and whose implementation requires an investment of 360,000 euros for its air conditioning and equipment.
Ruipérez said that "it is a shame that the residents of Alguazas have had to bear such a high expense without being able to receive the service in return.

On the other hand, another of the works that were paralyzed was the Early Care Center in 2011, costing € 200,000.
"I have asked Pedro Antonio Sánchez that the Autonomous Community should finalize this work and contemplate the possibility of changing its use to host a multidisciplinary center for young people, associations and other organizations that need it," he said.
