The Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, accompanied by the mayor of Ceutí, Juan Felipe Cano, visited today the section of the crossing of the T-533-2 (Alguazas road), where sidewalks will be built on both sides of the road, with the aim of improving the safety of pedestrians traveling on this road.

Fernández Lladó explained that the work consists of the construction of a sidewalk of two meters wide, in a stretch of 75 meters.

The tender for the works was published at the beginning of the month, and the total budget amounts to more than 69,000 euros.

The works include the demolition and the placement of a new curb that delimits the area of ​​the sidewalk, the regularization of the base with gravel, the placement of concrete slab and paving with terrazzo tiles.

Likewise, the lighting network will be channeled and the City will install lampposts.

The general manager recalled that his department has already carried out the first phase of reconstruction of sidewalks in that crossing that involved an investment of 24,000 euros, and indicated that "this year we will complete the renovation of the sidewalks of the crossing of the Alguazas road".
