More than 90 students from schools in Alguazas participate in lectures and workshops on environment (19/04/2011)

The main objective is to know the importance of maintaining the vegetation especially in arid areas.

This activity is organized by the Foundation Cajamar and has the support of the City of Alguazas.

More than 90 students from schools in Alguazas, Our Lady of Mount Caramel and Anaor, fourth year of primary school, participated in a talk and a workshop on environmental issues organized by the Foundation Cajamar and supported its development in municipality by the local council.

Then, during one morning received a presentation by two representatives of the Foundation, Mercedes Lola Uceda and Buendia, on the importance of maintaining the vegetation in arid areas in particular.

They were also told that is the environmental restoration and several terms related to this action of environmental revegetation as compost.

After the talk started the workshop "Hands" in which students were able to touch land, seeds, plants to grow and see all of them took a seed planted in a pot to look after and months after planting.

Students were very interested and responsive to this initiative.

This activity is offered to all municipalities through which passes the Northwest Greenway is located between Alguazas.

A few months later is due to give another talk at the same sites and in November they are the students themselves who put their pots that have been in this workshop in Via Verde.

This activity also includes the collaboration of the Consortium of the Northwest Greenway.
