Ready for use in food and hotel (24/11/2011)

Councillor for Employment and Training, Isabez Zamora, handed diplomas Food Handler course, by which a group of students can work or self-employed in various positions related to food.

In its commitment to training and job training in different sectors of the local economy, the Department of Training and Employment Alguazas council has completed the Food Handler course.

The aim has been to train a group of students, namely eleven, so they can develop their work or choose to self-employment in the field of food and hospitality.

Thanks to this course, which has been developed in six hours of classes, this group of unemployed and already has the minimum required certificate enabling them to function legally in the field of food.

Councillor for Education and Employment, Isabel Zamora, were presented with their diplomas.

The course, sponsored by the Local Development Agency, the students have acquired knowledge in different branches, among which are the following:

-The health-disease process.

Food and health.

-Contamination of food: its implications for health.

-Handling and food hygiene.

-Guide to Good Practice.

-Food legislation applies.

-Application in the prepared foods sector of HACCP

The food handler card is now a requirement throughout the food industry and catering, to develop work in grocery stores, houses of packed lunches, school cafeterias ... -.

For this reason, throughout the year, the council convenes Alguazas different editions of this course which aims to respond to the demands of citizens.
