The tournament is the first in a series of activities that the Department of Youth and Sports organized to promote youth participation in the municipality.
On Saturday, November 26 marked the first championship Tennis & Racquetball for young students of first and second year of ESO institutes and CES Alguazas Villa Vega Media.
The tournament was a success and the tournament lasted from 10:00 to 14:00 pm.
To promote equality among adolescents and non-discrimination categories, twenty couples were formed in a mixed double tournament.
Those who failed to win the tennis match went to the racquetball court where they had a second chance to compete and keep playing.
The Councillor for Youth and Sports, Joaquín López Verdú, used the event to give congratulations to the winners and greet all the participants, who presented a diploma in recognition of their participation in the championship.
The Tennis and Racquetball Tournament is part of the program "goes on and on 'of the Department of Youth of the City of Alguazas.
Its purpose is to promote youth participation, and focuses on boys and girls from secondary schools that can participate in its projects and activities as well as provide and implement their own ideas.
