Unit by Alguazas criticizes the "back to school" harder democracy (09/09/2012)

7,000 million euros of cuts in education conducted in the last two years by the PSOE and PP governments undermine public education and reduce future opportunities for the young.

Unit for Alguazas criticizes "education reform approved in April, the withdrawal of aid and subsidies from the autonomous study and the increase in VAT has gone up further study, especially to families with fewer resources."

According to the OCU, the return to school will be much more expensive, with spending being 470 and 640 euros per student.

According UXA spokesman, José Gabriel García Barnabas, "education cuts represent just fewer opportunities for younger future."

Since 2010, when he ruled the PSOE, education budgets cuts were 3,400 million euros, and the new measures taken by the PP added cuts another 3,600 million, which amounts to 7000 million less investment in education.

In the July plenary session discussed the cuts made by the PP, but no agreement was reached by the local parties.

Now is Unity for Alguazas who file a motion to that effect to the full September.

"We must ensure that education remains free quality and not a luxury, which is more economic efforts of government to help families give their children an education" Bernabe Garcia says.

All these cuts are joined by the VAT hike will affect prices, and even "the sweets of children" and criticized the PSOE Rajoy when VAT went up in 2010.

The school supplies will go from super-reduced rate (4%) General (21%).

The costs of textbooks, school supplies, transportation, dining, registration and fees, and even extracurricular activities, among others, all on the rise with the increase in VAT.

UXA alleges that pornography remains a luxury item in 4% and school supplies are taxed at 21%.

"While politicians are not cut one euro, children going to force them to pay three euros a day for wearing the tupperware with food to school," says José Gabriel.

Our politicians keep all their privileges and perks at the expense of the citizens who pay honestly and with much suffering his taxes, but instead of improving public services are undertaken monumental works that borrow public funds and then cutting the interest are paid in health, education or social services.

And to all the cuts and adjustments used by the Central Government, are added and applied by the Region of Murcia.

In 2011, abolished the bonus-book, which involved a school aid by 100 or 150 euros depending on the stage of education, going to give a single procurement assistance that represented a 65% cut in the budget, from 23 , 8 to 8.4 million euros.

This meant that 70% of students in the Murcia region were left without help as the sharp budget cuts that were made to reduce the maximum income thresholds.

However, this reduction will be even greater for the course starting, because the amount that goes to the Central Government for the aid community has been reduced by 75%, from four to one million euros.

If the past year were left without help for 70% of the students in our region, this course will be more than 25,000 children who are excluded.

In Alguazas four schools, two elementary-CEIP Monte Anaor and Nuestra Señora del Carmen, and two secondary schools and higher-IES and CES Alguazas Villa Vega Media.

All students who attend our schools suffer these cuts applied by PSOE and PP, but while our politicians are still sitting in their armchairs at city hall councilors and plugging releasing buddies and family.

From UXA want to manifest disrespect of PP Alguazas to applaud the cuts in education that took his party nationally.

Independent spokesman stated that "the PP shows his lack of understanding the problems citizens and only care about their revenue election before the citizens."

Thus, UXA criticizes the reforms adopted by the PP as the ratio increased by 20%, the removal of specific educational programs, downsizing of teachers, access to scholarships, school transport and the rise of a 66% of tuition fees, among other measures.

Finally, Councilman Alguazas Unit by Jose Gabriel Garcia Bernabe, believes that "if the local PP is committed to its neighbors and will support our motion at the next full arguments, as these measures alone are affecting the quality of teaching and the future of our children, "he concludes.
