A dozen professional and amateur runners collect toys for needy children Alguazas (10/12/2012)

The First Crossing of Kings, a party that promoted by the Spanish Red Cross, is composed of a dozen professional and amateur riders belonging to Club Deportivo Ermita de Burgos Township Sewer, Alguazas visited this past Saturday, December 8, with the goal of making the City Hall Square in the town a symbolic collection of toys donated by neighbors and school educational centers of population during the Christmas season and until the eve of Epiphany, this day will be divided between alguaceñas families with children at social and economic vulnerability.

The march, organized under the slogan "Take your heart with me" and with the collaboration of the departments of Social Services, Sports and Education Alguazas city council in collaboration with entities Cajamurcia, Eroski, Hero, Hefame Group, the Federation Mountaineering and Interapothek Murcia, which will also make their contribution to the needy children of the town, crossed from 6 to 8 December 25 municipalities in Murcia this journey encompassing humanitarian totaling 240 kilometers-equivalent to just over six marathons-in sections of asphalt and mountain.

The first day, on Thursday, December 6, the "Crossing of Kings 2012" passed through the towns of Totana, Aledo, Pliego, Mula, Bullas, Cehegín and Caravaca de la Cruz, where runners stayed overnight.

The next day included Moratalla, Calasparra, Cieza, Abarán, Blanca, Ricote, eyes, Villanueva de Segura, Ulea, Murcia, Ceuta and Lorquí.

The last day, Saturday, December 8th, the march, from the neighboring town of Molina de Segura and before culminating in Cotillas Towers, passed Alguazas, where he was received by the Selectmen of Social Services, Sports and Agriculture and Water and districts of the Corporation, María Dolores Hernández García, Joaquín López and José Manuel Gil Verdú Caballero respectively.

In the words of that Councillor of Social Services, "from the City Council collaborate to raise the illusion of children who deserve to have a toy this Christmas, a detail that responds to the message of solidarity to bring with them this time but should permeate and reflected in our world an every other day too. "
