UXA: "A new wave of thefts Stretches insecure Alguazas hospitality" (27/12/2012)

UXA proposes and calls for measures to prevent theft |

The hotel is one of the sectors hardest hit by crime.

Employers in this sector are powerless Alguazas week after week as they enter their premises to steal the little, or a lot of money you have left there and, most serious, causing some damage to the facilities at the end also has a negative impact in its economy, growing increasingly feeling insecure.

The succession of robberies taking place in the township has in suspense restaurateurs and entrepreneurs.

Just take a look at the archive to verify that establishments have been dozens of those who have suffered incursions in the past two years, preferably working with slots and gaming machines.

UXA spokesman, José Gabriel García Barnabas, has gone to the affected premises last week to show their support and know what are the concerns of traders.

Little data beyond this series of robberies.

Some attributed the authorship of all of them to a single band, which moves quickly and effectively, there are those who opted for the existence of several groups, which operate independently, but coordinated, and some people think that the perpetrators People theft is unprofessional and somewhat "sloppy", example of taking the machine to bust out of sheer brute force.

Some of the premises on which they entered the last week had alarm.

This is the case of "Bar Culture", where they entered after forcing the front door, which faces the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, taking over a thousand euros of snuff and as many slots, leaving damage estimated at another 800 euros in setting .

The owner complained that in less than a month he had been robbed twice, in the center of town and opposite the town hall.

The Brewery 'Quemao "entered through the front door, forced the slot and took all been inside the machine, plus another 300 who had left for change, lottery and a cigar box.

And in the "Bar Yagües" Hernán Cortés in the street, one of the busiest in the Barrio del Carmen recently suffered another robbery, accessed by a side window was lit with candles and went straight into the slot, which forced a leg goat, after moving them to the tracks of a mile of the place.

Property owners complain that they could not release the television they had bought that day, it also led the assailants.

The alarm did not work, and almost is appreciated as the owners slept in an adjoining room.

What were sporadic events, it has now become routine.

You can almost guess when the blow fell: in the night from Sunday to Monday and bank holidays if using more letters in favor.

The latest in the early hours of Wednesday, with the band of the slot entering the "Bar The Quemao" Barrio del Carmen in the municipality, it is unexceptional.

It's happened more times.

There are many locals who have had the experience several times in the past that have stolen this was the case and in some of them, with a few weeks of margin between theft and robbery.

The alarms are of little use, because either ignore or neutralize, the insurers do not cover everything stolen because they know the risk they suffer.

And so it goes around.

While citizens are insecure, the PP has not yet taken action.

And, most outrageous is that these thefts are living in the town for more than two years.

Since starting the legislature, by Alguazas Unit is requesting the mayor to take action, but it "simply deny all robberies."

Traders also called a meeting to ask the council to do citizen patrols to the insecurity prevailing in the municipality.

UXA has filed a motion asking the council to be increased to five local policemen in service hours during the night, and campaigns are carried out in civilian and municipal officials who are to take over the service of video surveillance and alarms of the municipality, that is currently allocated to a commercial for 8686.05 euros.

UXA spokesman claims that "it is time that the mayor and council members take responsibility and act to the anger of local residents and businesses, this problem is becoming more burdensome and must curb from the institutions" suggests Joseph Gabriel Garcia Bernabe .
