The child Ismael Otálora is the first winner of the new children's program to encourage reading undertaken by the Municipal Library (22/11/2013)

The eight year old Ismael Otálora April student of third year of primary CEIP "Monte Anaor" Alguazas and user of the Public Library of the city, is the first winner of its Program Kids Animation "Leo, I learn, I fun and get prizes "that has received a gift, in this case a book, having done the reading of three works and therefore have completed the three sealed boxes your library card, as establishing the basis for this initiative cultural incentive.

"Leo, I learn, have fun and get prizes-Come to the Library" is the motto that gives brand of excellence to new campaign promoting reading that launched the Culture Department of the City of Alguazas for this year 2013-2014.

Aimed at local children aged between 8 and 12 years, this plan also seeks to promote among the smallest use of the facilities and services offered by the Public Library so that this entity is consolidated as a point of meeting for the general public and a living space for culture in the population.

This child campaign promoted by the city council seeks to encourage reading among members of the Public Library which will be given a booklet in which, for each book read, they will stamp a cell, by filling in a form.

Those small users who complete three or six boxes will merit an award, consisting of books and / or training materials, grant them the Department of Culture alguaceña.

In the words of the proprietor of the local area, Isabel Zamora Palacios, libraries "should be dynamic, remain active and serve as a meeting point for the citizens."
