"It Giving Smiles" is the name of the solidarity campaign for the collection, purchase and / or financing of new toys for needy children that this Christmas will be launched in Alguazas NGO ASICAT (Association for Health Intervention and Disaster) in collaboration with the Department of Social Services of the city council.

In order to achieve the greatest possible number of donations from residents, businesses and local authorities, "Giving Smiles" meant that younger whose parents are at risk of social exclusion will not feel deprived of the excitement of receiving the gift that has more relevance for them in any self-respecting Christmas as such: A TOY.

With a team of volunteers, ASICAT shall seek the cooperation of all those authorities, companies and individuals who wish to donate both buy and / or fund new toys as sponsor conducting charitable campaigns and / or cultural, social, sporting events, ..., also providing for the proper development of this initiative a warehouse to the classification and distribution of items collected.

As highlighted by the Councillor for Social Services alguaceño Hall, María Dolores Hernández García, "the purpose of this Consistory is to make the campaign" Giving Smiles "is a true and complete success in our population, it translated to collect the maximum amount of toys so that we can reach as many children better. "

The mayor points out that "trust in the spirit of solidarity of the alguaceños able to roll over again in achieving a noble and just cause as to contribute to the happiness of a child."

Note that ASICAT, the non-profit sponsoring organization of this joint proposal "Giving Smiles", was born in mid-2010 with the firm purpose of carrying out social actions and offer the citizens of the Region of Murcia quality training about discounted costs and thus to generate jobs highly qualified staff, due to the current situation, he is forced to leave Spain.

One of the flagship projects of greater scope and of ASICAT was the implementation of a Vocational Training Centre for Higher Intermediate and located in the industrial area, where Magalia Business Park, being equipped with laboratories, classrooms, training areas and offices.

After three years of operation, ASICAT has established itself in the field of vocational training, reinvesting the profits in expanding their goals and being as of today a clear benchmark of self-financing and sustainability towards the execution of projects direct action of social, health information, integration, among others, targeting the most vulnerable groups.

Also, within the field of public safety, emergency and rescue ASICAT works to integrate into the public health system and civil protection entity providing solidarity and volunteer ambulance themselves and others related to the area of ​​activity referred resources.
