For the Department of Sports City of Alguazas, the various activities scheduled for the summer season has been a resounding success, despite the provisional nature of the public swimming pool facilities.
The results give reason to those responsible for this council, over 2000 people have passed through the pool in bathing hours free and 150 children in summer school have also been enjoying the pool.
For the first time, has launched a multi-sports school, where 50 children aged between 10 and 14 years, and no longer can attend summer school to be over 10 years, have enjoyed the different sports facilities (sports hall, football field, and swimming pool).
This school has been successful multisport both participation and acceptance, since their aim was to complement the age of the children had no activity for the morning of July and what better activity to practice and learn about other sports.
The swimming lessons have undoubtedly been the biggest surprise of the season if the month of July, organized and conducted in morning and afternoon, to the great demand of students enrolled in the month of August and first in the township were taken to organize courses, at the request of parents, coming to introduce three shifts with about 70 children.
The high rate of participation of all the activities that had the pool facility has exceeded all expectations.
Given the state of the same, after 3 years closed and abandoned, the Department of Sports has had to accelerate to have it ready, because if they are rushing these works, the municipality of Alguazas spent another summer without swimming pool and seen the results, this initiative has been more than favorable.

In this September, will resume the refurbishment of the pool, which will enable next summer alguaceños enjoy a modern and functional facility.
