Eighty new bins make the city a cleaner place (06/02/2009)

The Department of Parks and Gardens Alguazas City Council has placed around the city a total of eighty new paper which, when added to existing ones, a total of 137 units.

The initiative is a new campaign action Alguazas now cleaner than this council is developing and intends to maintain the streets and squares of the town clean of dirt, while giving a service to the municipality.

"We have noticed that the installation of new bins have significantly reduced waste on sidewalks and plazas of the municipality," said Fernando Almagro, Councillor for Works and Services.

In addition, the council has also launched a project to bury a dozen dumpsters, which would join the four who is so far.

"Although forecasts for 2009 are four new underground containers, our intention is to reach 16 points buried in the coming years," said Almagro.
