The octathlon is a form of athletics that combines various tests such as the 100 meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 110 meter hurdles, pole vault and discus throw and javelin.
The athlete won a brand alguaceño 4,803 points getting second place in the final of this type held last weekend in Motril (Granada).
Carlos Javier González Vegara athletics began four years ago.
Since then has scored 12 regional championships and 5 runner-up in different ways in which they participated.
He also won fourth place in shot put in the Championship of Spain Indoor Athletics, held in Valencia in the 2006/2007 season and has been concentrated in the Spanish Athletics Pontevedra.
