PSOE: "The school year starts between works" (11/09/2009)

On Monday September 14 begins the school year in three schools in the municipality of Alguazas.

In particular, Reina Sofia Infant School and schools from kindergarten and primary "Monte Anaor" and "Virgen del Carmen", all with a common denominator: the maintenance work performed this summer at the centers have not complete.

In the Reina Sofia Infant School, students may not use the yard for part of this course, because the work of the Center for Child Care, which should have been completed by September (as reported by the Councillor for Education) have not yet finished.

The City Council has informed some users of this center that the facilities of the Center for Child Care will be available from the second fortnight of October, but has not been reported may be available when the center courtyard so that students can use it.

Regarding the Department of Education and Primary "Virgen del Carmen" and "Monte Anaor" maintenance work will be completed and started the school year, pending some performances of works executed with funds from Plan E, as pergolas of the sports courts.

From the socialist municipal group, we say that the fact that at the beginning of the school year, no works have been completed, ie students and works are forced to live, is due solely to lack of foresight and coordination between the departments involved.

This is another example of the disastrous management in the field of works being undertaken by the City of Alguazas, a Councillor of Works and Services is unable to follow up and planning of the works being carried out in schools the municipality and with a lot more knowing in advance when the school year begins.

MORE CHARGED BY THE CITY TO PAY THE SERVICE OF SCHOOL CHILDREN.

Another point to note for the month of September for the start of the school, is the exorbitant rise delprecio public municipal day care conducted by the City of Alguazas.

The worst is not solely the fact that there has been a general rise in the price of around 500% (despite the existence of reduced fees), but the way it is done, it is announced, and Full-takes more than three months after the registration deadline ended for this academic year 2009-2010.

The modus operandi of the City Council has led to many parents who enrolled their children believing that they would pay a certain price, to meet a different and much higher, as this increase took place after their children enrolled , and now they have found no time to find another facility that can accommodate your financial situation.
