Employment, the Councillor and the (low) efficiency (22/10/2009)

The last plenary session in Alguazas, held last September 24, first after the summer break, had the peculiarity that, despite their status as ordinary, not at the top its agenda two issues that although not mandatory if they are common: the Approval of minutes of previous plenary and report resolutions of City Hall.

That fact was underlined by the Socialist Group at the beginning of the session, obtaining a response from the Secretary General of the City (which gave the floor to the Mayor) who, after two months, had not been possible to include or the minutes of previous plenary of 30 July for approval and the resolutions of City Hall, apologizing for the enjoyment of summer vacation by the City Council that prevented employees carry out their work in a timely manner.

I memory.

In the course of my six years as a Councillor (four in opposition and two in the government) to this plenary session was not held any regular on the condition where there had been no approval of minutes of previous full or resolutions of the Mayor to account.

The question is curious, since without being inconsistent with the standard, we must add the fact that since the adoption of the Staff Officers and List of Jobs for 2008, our City has the figure of Services Coordinator administrative functions to discharge, ie work, both the Secretary General and the Auditor, as well as offers more administrative staff, and things, it is reasonable to cast doubt on the excuse of the Secretary and one might think there is some political intentions, induced to omit the point of the resolutions of City Hall with the intention of delaying the delivery of information to the Municipal Socialist Group.

In this regard, either the Mayor or Councillor of Employment gave an explanation, delegating to the official to give the same, this matter, on the one hand, demonstrates a lack of planning for the granting of holidays for the workers, the only real responsible Councilmember and Mayor, and on the other, results in further injury to the citizens of Alguazas, because it undermines the functioning of local government.

Among the residents of Alguazas emerges a sense that, today, is when more people work at City Hall, and that level of occupation will not have positive results on the street, because many of the decisions made are wrong.

But if the Councillor of Employment is unable even to plan your holidays for workers in order to prevent non-stop services rendered, how are you going to try to seek measures that could address the fact that, at this very moment, are 885 and the unemployed in the municipality of Alguazas, a hundred more than the end of 2008, which happens to be the Councillor for Employment has accumulated more unemployed in the City of Alguazas?

The PSOE will make the following suggestions Councillor: money that our City Council will soon receive through Local Investment Plan II (Plan-E) should be used in projects that may be awarded to companies from Alguazas for implementation, as do most municipalities in our region.

That would be a good way to stimulate job creation in our village.
