The secondary schools of Alguazas sign an agreement with the City of municipality (28/10/2009)

Alguazas City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with secondary schools in the municipality: IES Villa de Alguazas and Vega CES Media.

The agreement includes the basics of what the various parties are committed: the local council, central and selected correspondents.

One of the points included in the agreement refers to the commitment of schools to provide correspondents space in which to inform the rest of his teammates.

Moreover, the elect are committed to keeping open the youth information point on Mondays and Wednesdays during recess, to enable the other students the required information and if necessary, refer to the appropriate service.

Four students, two from each school, have been chosen as youth correspondents.

In an attempt to promote equality, it has been decided that the teams formed are mixed.

These youngsters will be "the point between the City Council of the municipality and the students in their respective schools," said Mayor Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández LLadó.

To this end, weekly, correspondents will attend the meetings organized by local Informajoven, which will be informed of the various activities carried out by the Consistory.

Also inform the activities that the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia are made.

In addition, to report on actions taken by the council or the Institute for Youth and to meet the needs and concerns of young people, "the correspondent that the information will not reach the Department of Youth, of the so, come, "said the head of Youth, Alicia Parejo, informing the authorities of their initiatives or suggestions that his fellow center will perform.

Along with the weekly, quarterly, correspondents will attend a regional meeting as held last weekend in Lorca, in which exchange experiences and take stock of the work.

As a reward for this work, correspondents receive a monthly grant from the local council.

In addition, the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia for its part, gives another bonus for each correspondent.

This is the second year that the Consistory of the town participates in this initiative launched by the Youth Institute in collaboration with the Department Education, Training and Employment.

Previously, from Youth launched a similar initiative of junior reporters.

Subsequently, the local Town Hall joined the program youth correspondents.
