Alguazas City Council continues its commitment to education.
Proof of this are the 100,000 euros that the municipality has allocated in fiscal year 2010 to carry out improvement works on the two schools in the municipality, the school and school Anaor Monte Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
The works will be developed through the multi-annual agreement for the improvement of primary schools, which is in force since the beginning of this legislature and was signed by the City of Alguazas and the Ministry of Education through the Directorate General of Department.
Following the signing of this agreement the Department of Education Alguazas, led by Isabel Zamora, chosen because they were the school boards of both centers will establish the order of priorities for action in schools.
The aim was to ensure that we first would go all the works necessary.
Thus, in 2010, the third year of the agreement, in the College of Our Lady of Carmen will be renewed paving sports courts will be built new toilets for the disabled and will start work on the school's perimeter fence, while Monte Anaor school will continue with the renovation of the toilets and the construction of new disabled.
Also, in both centers were completely renewed the wiring.
These works have a budget of 100,000 euros funded 50% by the City Council and the General Directorate Alguazas Center.
Thanks to this agreement in 2009 have made another series of works already completed.
Specifically at school have been renovated Monte Anaor toilets full of teachers on the ground floor of the central pavilion and the Our Lady of Mount Caramel School has built a new music room.
The cost of the works have been carried out this year amounts to € 15,000 50% funded by the Directorate General of Department and the City of Alguazas.
All these works join those already made in 2008.
At that time in school were different Monte Anaor gardening, including the installation of drip irrigation, and masonry and painting among which the conditioning of children's playground.
Works similar to those implemented in the College of Our Lady of Mount Caramel.
All these works were performed by students of the Workshop on Employment 'Alguazas 2008 with the materials provided by the City Council Alguazas.
Parallel to these actions, the two primary schools in the municipality are removing architectural barriers through a grant to the Department of Education Alguazas received from the Directorate General for Academic Affairs.
Both schools now have access ramps in all wards.
Also due to the school of Our Lady of Mount Caramel is located in an area where there are different levels of height, it was necessary to install a power chair on the stairs leading from the hall to the sports courts.
On the other hand, this year at the school have made Monte Anaor works valued at more than 14,000 euros, of which 11,000 were provided by the Directorate General for Academic and the rest by the City of Alguazas.
The works have involved the comprehensive reform of the toilets of the students on the ground floor of the central pavilion and the construction of two toilets adapted for disabled guests.
Also, in this same hall, has placed a door to the backyard.
At school, Our Lady of Carmen works that have been made are worth over 22,000 euros, of which around 17,000 have been provided by the Directorate General for Academic and the rest of the session alguaceño.
This center works that have been made in 2009 have included the reform of the toilets of the students and the creation of two new toilets for the disabled, the placement of security gates at the executive offices and the library and placing bars on the windows of the management offices.
