Local Police headquarters opens Alguazas outside the town hall facilities (28/12/2009)

Alguazas Township today has a local police headquarters, which has allowed the police staff leaving the smaller units so far occupied the headquarters of the local council.

The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the mayor of the town, José Antonio Fernández, inaugurated the new facility, located in the building that was once home ticketing and Renfe factor, and whose rehabilitation has involved an investment of 184,195 euros by the Autonomous Community.

The works have included the suitability of the property covered, with an area four times that of the outbuildings, as well as interior spaces and structures to meet the needs of the staff of the local police, composed of 15 agents, ten of which are assigned to the Special Units of Public Safety Regional Plan.

The Minister of Presidency, Pedro María Reverte, stressed the need for these works due to increased number of agents and to improve service to citizens.

Addition to the public spaces and offices, the new headquarters has a multipurpose room, an archive and a dealer.

Together with investment for the implementation of the Police headquarters, the Presidential and Public Administration has granted the City of Alguazas various grants for the purchase of two motorcycles, a police car, a breathalyzer, computer equipment, and different equipment the Local Police.

Plaza dedicated to the Victims of Terrorism

The new police headquarters is located in the Plaza Victims of Terrorism, which the minister and the mayor opened after a visit to police stations.

In the square, which Alguazas municipality pays tribute to the victims of terrorist brutality, Alguazas City Council has made several improvement works in order to recover this space for the use and enjoyment of residents.

The counselor, who congratulated the council by unanimous agreement of the municipal corporation to devote this space to the victims, said, "is an example of the commitment of society Murcia with these people, who since October, also have a law regional aid, adopted by the Regional Assembly at the request of the autonomous government. "

Reverte said the Act provides grants of up to 60,000 euros for victims of terrorist acts in the Murcia region and that gets them anywhere in the world, and that this aid will also benefit the families of the victims to the second degree of consanguinity spouses, if not legally separated, or people with emotional relationship analogous to marriage, as well as people who have suffered damage.

Moreover, the Act regulates a number of measures in the health care, psychological, educational psychology, education, employment and housing.

The book makes provision for a quota of housing public advocacy for victims and other jobs in the public as well as study aids and educational support in all educational stages, mandatory or not.
