Angel Martinez, president of the Territorial Council of CAM in Murcia, has been commissioned to begin, institutionally, to the festivity of Alguazas 2010.
Murcia businessman, born in Casillas, began his business career in the town and this has been one of the reasons why he has chosen to open officially the holidays this year.
The reading of the opening ceremony was developed in the Cinema-Theatre IV Centenary of Alguazas and he has assisted the government team, members of clubs and associations in the municipality and residents of Alguazas.
During the reading of the opening, Angel Martinez recalled Alguazas history, its most representative and has defined this holiday as a festival of feelings, closeness and friendship fraught with tradition and history.
The President of the Territorial Council of CAM in Murcia has not wanted to forget that it was in this county which launched the first canning factory in the region for that, and using the language panocho, referred to as a municipality Alguazas "it tastes like and albercoque malacatón."
Angel Martinez, also spoke during his speech, one of the issues that most concern in the municipality as is the railroad bridge that bisects the town.
It has therefore requested the Government of Spain to change the route of the railway line to Alguazas no physical remains divided and has requested that the space currently occupied by the train is a space for the enjoyment of all residents.
After reading the proclamation, the mayor of Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, Ángel Martínez has given the gold badge of the municipality.
The event concluded with a repertoire of dance performed by members of the Dance Company of Murcia.
