June 5 marks the World Environment Day and the City of Alguazas, through the Department of Environment, wanted to join this celebration raising awareness among young people on the importance of recycling.
Therefore more than 200 students aged 3 to grade 6 elementary schools Monte Anaor and Our Lady of Carmen de Alguazas have participated in activities organized by the Department of Environment for this day.
First, the students have seen a projection in which the members of the Asociación Proyecto Abraham have explained the importance of recycling to reduce municipal waste and have taught them how things are reused are recycled.
After the students have participated in games and a workshop where recycling has become an empty bottle in a birdbath.

This activity has joined the Campaign for United Nations World Environment Day and will be published with photos and English, the official website of the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP).
Besides these activities, the Department of Environment is conducting Alguazas since 2007 campaigns 'Alguazas Committed to Recycling' and 'Cleaner Alguazas Now' on a clear commitment to preserving the environment around us.
