Alguazas City Council is holding an Ordinary Plenary Session today, and the main point to be debated for approval will be a modification of the budget credit in order to carry out a reduction of the municipal debt with banking entities for a total of 500,000 €
The proposal of this measure, framed in an economic-financial plan (which will also be submitted for approval in Plenary), is possible, mainly, thanks to "good treasury management and a policy of cost containment since the beginning of the present legislature, this has allowed the municipal coffers have a remnant of treasury of more than three million euros, "says the Mayor and Councilor of Finance of Alguazas, Blas Angel Ruipérez Peñalver.
"We are going to maintain this economic line of action, since, according to our forecasts, the current legislature will end up with a total municipal debt of € 1,455,686.77 It should be remembered that in 2015, when the current government team took office, the debt with banks amounted to a total of € 4,486,835.95 We are talking about between 2015 and 2019 a total reduction of municipal debt of € 3,031,149.18 will be carried out, "said Ruipérez.
