After Alguazas' mayor tried to double his salary and the opposition opposed him, now he says he will not charge anything "to be well with the people".
UxA will support the measure.
The PSOE Alguazas tries to manipulate public opinion by making the neighbors believe that "now" does not want to collect a salary.
And this he says eight days after having proposed in plenary raise the salary double, up to € 30,548, and part-time.
As then did not achieve the support of the opposition, UxA and PP, and an amendment was submitted to reduce from 120,000 to 57,000 euros the total cost in compensation to the members of the Corporation, now the PSOE launches a proposal to zero all the remunerative concepts.
"They do it to be good with the people, after having tried to double the salary all and not having found the support of the opposition" says UxA spokesman, José Gabriel García Bernabé.
From UxA we understand that the performance of any position must be paid, and we were going to maintain the salary that the mayor has had until now, but without increasing it.
But if now they prefer not to charge anything, of course we are going to support their decision because it seems to us an important saving that will be able to be destined in other more necessary questions for the municipality.
"I have been an opposition spokesperson for eight years and I have never charged a single cent for it, I do not intend to do it now either, because I will continue for as many years as necessary, controlling and supervising the government so that the people can improve," concludes José Gabriel.
Attached are the Mayor's proposals, from July 1 and 8, respectively, in which he asks for a salary and then modifies the proposal when the opposition rejects it.
Both documents are official, signed by the mayor himself, raised to the Plenary, and with verification code to verify its veracity in the electronic headquarters.
