The Youth Information Service has meant the hiring, by the City Council of Alguazas, of a professional, subsidized by the Regional Government and the European Social Fund, who will perform the functions within the framework of the Youth Guarantee System.
Young people interested should go to the Youth Information Service from 10 am to 1 pm (ground floor of the Alguazas Town Hall).
Youth Guarantee is a European initiative aimed at young people between 16 and 29 years old, which aims to facilitate young people's access to the labor market.
This initiative encourages young people to receive offers of employment, education or training appropriate to their interests and needs, when they become unemployed or finish their studies.
Therefore, the main objectives of this new Service are to help improve the employability of young people, increase the quality and stability of young employment, promote equal opportunities and foster entrepreneurship.
In order to achieve these objectives, information, orientation, activation and support actions will be carried out for young beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee System.
This Service is added to the different actions that have previously been carried out by the Department of Youth and Employment, such as the Joint Employment and Training Program aimed at beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee that has been developed since 19 December 2018 until September 18 and the Local Public Employment Program aimed at this group that was developed in the first half of the year.
The Councilor for Youth of the City of Alguazas, Victoria Cuello Medina, highlights the relevance of this Service, because «being able to count on a qualified professional dedicated exclusively to youth information and guidance in the Youth Guarantee Framework is undoubtedly a valuable resource available to the young population of our municipality ».
