The IES Villa de Alguazas has collected today its prize in the National Contest of Good Practices in educational centers in the category "Prevention and eradication of violence, Irene: peace begins at home".
The project submitted to the Contest is entitled "Gender equality, an interdisciplinary commitment".
This project has been carried out in the institute from the 2016-2017 academic year, working in a transversal and interdisciplinary way on equality between men and women, the identification of sexist stereotypes, the rejection of gender violence and the search for gender equality.
Today, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Isabel Celaá, has given the representatives of the IES Villa de Alguazas the prize won.

This project has involved all the teachers of the center and has served to carry out a broad awareness exercise on gender violence among students, developing activities and tasks in the classroom.
From the Department of Education we give our most sincere congratulations », said Victoria Cuello Medina, Councilor for Education of the City of Alguazas.
