President Adolfo Suarez Square will have a considerable improvement in accessibility, "as deserves the most central square of our town", in the words of the Mayor of Alguazas, Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver.
The project, currently in execution, consists of the creation of access for people with reduced mobility consisting of two progressive ramps that save the gap between Alfonso Ruiz Street and Plaza Presidente Adolfo Suárez, plus two side stairs.
On the other hand, part of the existing hydraulic tile sidewalk between this new ramp and the Acequia Mayor de Alguazas will be conditioned on both sides up to San Onofre Avenue and the existing playground.
Cobblestone paving similar to that of the new bevel of the Acequia Mayor has been projected.
This infrastructure will involve an investment of € 37,828.33.
“We continue working on accessibility, to ensure non-discrimination in the use of urbanized public spaces.
This action is part of our policy of eliminating architectural barriers, as has already been done in the House of Culture, in the Constitution Park and in other parts of the municipality, â€says Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, Mayor of Alguazas.
