The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has reiterated to the Ministry of Transportation, Mobility and Urban Agenda the need to change the location of the link between the Alguazas-Campos del Río road (RM-531) with the Northwest Arc, which will lead to the isolation of the municipality and that does not have continuity with the regional route.
This was stated by the General Director of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, during the meeting he held today with representatives of various administrations to analyze this link, in which he said that "it is the right time to correct said project, because it is about paper and currently leads nowhere. "
Fernández Lladó said that the solution to move it to the south is the most economical than the current project, and coincides with the proposal of businessmen, neighbors and the Alguazas City Council itself.
The regional official said that the change of location of the link has been formally requested from the Ministry, arguing that the project is "in the middle of nowhere, with several branches without any connection."
He recalled that, in October 2019, the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure transferred to the State Highway Demarcation its disagreement with the Northwest Arc layout project, "because it does not propose any solution that guarantees the continuity of RM-531, and the projected link does not appear properly connected to the regional road that runs between Alguazas and Campos del Río ".
