The Alguazas City Council has started the training course for fathers and mothers "Prevent from an early age".
This course is part of the Regional Plan on Addictions, in the scope of "Reduction of the demand for drugs", and, more specifically, in the area of Prevention of alcohol and other drug use, where parent training It is a basic link in the chain to reach our ultimate goal: the prevention and reduction of risk in the consumption of alcohol and other drugs in adolescents and young people.
The ARGOS Program has been developing in the Region since 2010 and includes different projects that seek to involve health professionals, teachers and local technicians in the prevention of alcohol and other drugs.
Through training activities and materials development, students from 1st and 2nd ESO of the Alguazas educational centers (IES “Villa de Alguazas” and CES “Vega Media”) are being reached with 6 teaching units: three for 1st ESO , entitled "Alcohol: awareness with science", and three others for 2nd ESO, entitled "Drugs: ALTACAN".
As a continuation of the online course "Prevent from an early age", the face-to-face course for parents begins in the ARGOS-Familias Project, which arises from the need to involve fathers and mothers in the prevention of alcohol and other drug use. their children;
specifically in Alguazas, we will develop it in all the educational centers of the municipality from 9:30 to 11:00, like this:
Monday: IES "Villa de Alguazas".
Beginning February 17.
Tuesday: CES “Vega Media”.
Beginning February 18.
Wednesday: CEIP “Ntra Sra de Carmen”.
Beginning February 19.
Thursday: CEIP "Monte Anaor".
Start February 20.
These activities are promoted by the Ministry of Health, the General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions, in collaboration with the Local Entities of the Region of Murcia.
