Alguazas hosted last Saturday, February 29, the Petanque Regional School Sports Final, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, which highlights the first place achieved by the Reina Sofía College and the IES Prado Mayor in the categories fry and open respectively.
In the juvenile category three teams from Totana participated, two from the Reina Sofía College and another from the Deitania College, of which only one team from the Reina Sofía College surpassed the first group stage, finally getting the first place, after imposing themselves in the final at the Pasico Campillo de Lorca School.
The Reina Sofía College champion team was made up of the following players: José Tomás Garro Ballester, Francisco Martínez Martínez, Adrián Navarro Sánchez and Andrés Navarro Teruel.
And in the open category, the three teams of the IES Prado Mayor managed to pass the first group stage, in even two of them played the final, finally winning the team formed by Germán Méndez Bermejo, Juan Ginés Hernández Blázquez and Margarida Rodríguez Santos.
The totanero success was completed with the third team of the IES Prado Mayor, who won his match for third place at the IES Vega Media de Alguazas.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the three best teams classified in each category by the general director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Javier Sánchez López.
