The Mayor of Alguazas, Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, announced this morning that the City Council is going to launch a first package of economic measures to help alleviate the effects of the coronavirus in our municipality.
These measures will be aimed at alleviating the negative consequences in the economic sphere that the coronavirus crisis has generated in residents, companies and businesses in Alguazas.
Given this situation, the government team of the Alguazas City Council will initially implement the following measures:
- The payment of the market rate is postponed from the first quarter until a new date, and the measures for future compensation will be studied.
- The payment period of the Vehicle Circulation Tax (“stampâ€), initially scheduled for May 15, is postponed.
- Compensation of public fees and prices for services not provided (CAI, Nursery School and sports activities).
- The payment of the Public Road Occupancy rate for restaurants and cafeterias is postponed, and compensation measures will be studied.
«We announce this first package of measures in accordance with our local powers, to try to alleviate the difficult situation of the residents, businesses and companies in our municipality due to the coronavirus health crisis.
We want to contribute to making this situation as less damaging as possible to the social and economic life of Alguazas.
I take this opportunity to send a message of affection to all the alguaceños and alguaceñas, and reiterate the need to comply with the requirements of hygiene and home confinement;
Thus, following these rules as strictly as possible, we will be able to beat the virus, "said the Mayor of Alguazas.
