The Alguazas City Council will receive a total of € 72,804 destined to cover the social needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This budget item comes from an extraordinary loan of 300,000,000 euros approved by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain, whose allocation for the Region of Murcia has been € 9,284,806 (3.097% of that total).
"This amount supposes an important support for the local entities, since it will help to cover basic needs immediately, especially for people in vulnerable situations," said Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, Mayor of Alguazas.
This credit must go to:
- Direct financial support to families with difficulties affected by COVID, attention to large and single-parent families.
- Emergency aid to meet basic needs caused by COVID: financial aid for the purchase of food, follow-up milk, medicines, payment of essential basic receipts and personal support.
- Home support measures: home help for the most vulnerable people, isolated people or people with detected social segregation and the disabled.
