Aid may be requested until October 28 | The BORM collects on Wednesday the bases and call for aid to businesses, SMEs, hoteliers and street vendors in Alguazas affected by the COVID-19 health crisis and that closed during the state of alarm.
The call has an amount of 40,000 euros that was agreed by the political groups in the Economic Reactivation Plan, reducing the money allocated to the festivities and allocating it to help local businesses.The bases have been proposed by the Department of Commerce and were approved by the Plenary and collects fixed amounts between 100 euros, for street vendors, and up to 550 euros for businesses that closed due to the state of alarm decree.
In addition, the hoteliers of the municipality may benefit from an additional amount of 30 euros per table settled in 2019."If we want to get through this crisis, we have to help our companies and local businesses, and that is why the Corporation has decided to allocate the money from the patron saint festivities to give direct aid to all those establishments that had to paralyze their activity as a result of the COVID- 19.
Reactivating commerce and the economy is not an option, but an obligation ", says the mayor of Commerce, José Gabriel García Bernabé.
