This has been decided unanimously by the Permanent Commission of the Municipal Council for Citizen Participation, to guarantee the continuity of the process in the face of the health alert. Yesterday, Wednesday, the Permanent Commission of the Municipal Council for Citizen Participation met to decide on the vote on the 2020 Participatory Budgets that have been postponed twice due to the health crisis.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation presented to the members a proposal to carry out the voting electronically to guarantee the continuity of the process and to be able to execute the projects as soon as possible, which was unanimously approved. This vote could be carried out between February 15 and 21, through a municipal participation portal, which will be presented in the next few days and where neighbors can register to vote three proposals among the fifteen submitted to popular vote.
Councilor Garc�a Bernab� showed the members of the commission the platform that has been designed and is expected to be presented to citizens next week. The committee also approved two other proposals from the Councilor for Citizen Participation of the Participatory Budgeting calendar for the year 2021 and the modification of the Participatory Budgeting Regulations so that political groups and associations present their proposals and contributions to improve the process. The councilor of the area, Jos� Gabriel Garc�a Bernab�, states that he is "satisfied because this committee has approved very interesting proposals that represent a very great improvement for the participatory process that is carried out annually, in addition to guarantee that the pandemic does not paralyze the neighbors to continue deciding where to spend part of the budget.
