The House of Culture Alguazas has hosted a new edition of the awards Peach and Apricot, which each year, coinciding with the festivity of the municipality grants the Association of Women in the locality.
On this occasion, the recipients have been Angeles Alfonso and Matencio Carolina, Apricot and Peach Award, respectively.
Alfonso is a widow, single, who had to work hard to get his family together.
In fact, as recalled Manuel Segura during the reading of his visage, it was rare to see it without working.
Precisely for this reason, being a working woman, well loved in the town, the Women's Association has recognized his life.
For its part, Matencio Carolina Peach has received this award for his contribution and dedication to the dissemination of culture in the municipality, either from his post as director of the Municipal Library, a member of various associations of the locality and is, it strange not to see this woman in various cultural activities organized in the municipality.
The emotional ceremony was attended by the mayor of the town, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, who has delivered a plaque to the winning and the Councillor for Equality, Dori Bermudez, who has also given away to winners of a bouquet of flowers .
The president of the Women's Association, sacral Vicente, and other members of the government team has come to act.
The event was attended by the performance of two local groups, the dance group Al-Waza and Ana Belén Dance Academy, which have been commissioned to liven up the event with their dances.
For ten years, the Association of Women in the locality, in collaboration with the Department of Equality grants these awards, which main objective is to recognize outstanding individuals from the locality.
Juan Espinosa, Joaquín Hernández were the winners of the previous edition in any of the previous editions of these awards.
