The mayor of Alguazas, Blas Angel Ruipérez Peñalver, today called the rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Diaz, their collaboration in the project of environmental recovery of the old treatment plant impoundment, located in an environment declared special protection.
The mayor has raised the possibility of creating in the research laboratory linked to this infrastructure, a bird observatory or study center.
Alguazas Polytechnic and City Hall have agreed to renew and expand the collaboration agreement already maintained for the realization of curricular and extracurricular student practices.
The agreement also will allow students of the Polytechnic carry out volunteer projects in Alguazas and get credits in return.
