The Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the Community in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the City of Alguazas and health centers, tomorrow starts the regional program "Prevention of Cancer Mama "in Alguazas, developed since 1996.
Participation in this campaign in the town was a success as it reached 74.1% during 2008-2009, five points above the regional average rose at a rate of 69.1%.
The main objective of this program is to reduce mortality from this disease and improve quality of life of those who suffer through the early arrest.
This test is performed using mammography every two years for women between 50 and 69.
For the 2010 season will be cited by means of a letter to 600 women.
