The initiative was presented by the Municipal Socialist Group.

Alguazas Municipal Corporation approved on regular plenary, held in the Consistory Hall of alguaceño, last Wednesday, February 9, with votes for the PP and PSOE, the introduction of companion animal microchip in municipality.

The above motion was tabled by the Socialist group.

This initiative is to stimulate locally the implementation of this mechanism in domestic animals.

The operation of the microchip consisting of an electronic animal identification.

It is a subcutaneous implant in the animal, a device the size of a grain of rice elongated, bearing a unique number code, to thereby have a record of animal identification.
