In the plenary session on July 28, 2011, the Municipal Group Socialist Alguazas, through his spokesman Ruipérez Blas Angel Peñalver, filed two petitions for mayor of the City.
The first two tables, free
In the first pleading, the PSOE Alguazas stated that, in view of the difficult economic situation, the hospitality industry of the town have seen their incomes fall, so that entrepreneurs ask the local administration to take some action to help them boost consumption, without entailing additional costs for business.
In addition, the College of Economists of the Region of Murcia has indicated that the tourism, leisure and hospitality is the most outstanding out of the crisis and lead economic growth in the region, so it is very important that the industry is backed by different administrations.
Therefore, the PSOE Alguazas proposed as a means to boost consumption, catering establishments that are exempt from paying the first two tables installed in public.
It is a simple measure that seeks to stimulate the activity of leisure and hospitality sector and encourage consumption.
Increased street cleaning
The second plea was attending to a request from a large number of residents of the municipality: more and better street cleaning.
Alguazas PSOE mayor asked to take the necessary steps to optimize resources for street cleaning, in order to achieve greater cleanliness of outdoor public spaces, improving the image of our city and quality of life of our neighbors.
