Despite the revenue shortfall experienced in recent times and also expected next year, the full City Council approves the budget Alguazas for the year 2012 for an amount exceeding six million euros.

This is an amount that decreases by 4.5% over the 2011 budget, and 14.2% over the 2010 budget consolidated.
With respect to the consolidated budget of 2010, spending amounted to EUR 7,034,962.18, the budget of 2012 has been reduced by almost one million euros.
This reduction in the spending ceiling is due to a rigorous analysis of the forecast of revenue and the strict application of the criterion of austerity in expenditure forecast for the next financial year by the government team.
But, despite this reduction in revenue budgets for 2012 reflect the effort to keep the session devoted citizen services in the municipality of Alguazas, as shown in the applications of basic public services budget.
By way of example in the chapter on Citizen Security and Mobility, the session will invest almost € 800,000, equivalent to 13% of the budget, and Housing and Urban Development (chapter they belong to the management costs, maintenance and upkeep of municipal buildings , schools and public roads and spaces) shall be granted a 14.21% of the total number amounting to 857,436 euros.
Of note is the maintenance of essential items, such as Education, Health and Employment Support.
In the section on Education, the council allocated 552,245 euros to the provision of services such as kindergarten and CAI, school lunches, educational subsidies for the purchase of books, scholarships, classroom occupational and summer schools, among other.
Spending allocated to the chapter of Social Services which manages the council amounted to 272,822 euros.
On the other hand the allocation of spending on sports has an amount of 230,451 euros.
With this money, promote sports activities in the municipality, school sports, school sports, amateur leagues, etc..
