Students of the school Our Lady of Carmen goes into the second phase of the regional championship on "The Sports School Age '.
Alguazas team Alevín category has undergone the first phase of table tennis championship held last Saturday 21 January at the sports pavilion Romeral in Molina de Segura.
It was the early days of this sport in the school attended coming from different municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
Alguazas team, consisting of five boys aged between 11 and 12 years, beat the kids entered school center equipment, exceeding the first phase.
Compete again in two weeks, in the latter days of table tennis.
At sporting event attended by the Councillor for Sports, Joaquín López Verdú, who encouraged players and monitors to keep pushing stages.
The councilman said "the high motivation of the team" and defended these programs, designed to enhance the social and physical training of students in the municipality.
The School Age Sports is a regional program under the Directorate General of Sports, held every year for decades, in order to ensure access for all citizens to practice the sport on equal conditions and opportunities.
In this context, thousands of schoolchildren in the region each season competing in both individual and group sports.
Students of colleges and institutes are training Alguazas and to participate in both groups.
