On Saturday January 21 in the chapel of the taunts, tens of alguaceños attended the traditional homily in honor of St. Anthony, patron of the parish alguaceña and, in turn, custodian of the animals.
The Mass was officiated by the parish priest of Alguazas, Don Carlos Vicente Molina Lopez, who used to bless the pets of his parishioners.
The event was attended by the mayor of the municipality, José Antonio Fernández LLadó, and several members of the municipal corporation.
It brought together the council of Celebration, Joaquín López Verdú, Pedanías Councilman Jose Manuel Gil Knight, Councillor for Social Services, Maria Dolores Hernandez Garcia and Councillor for Tourism, Isabel Zamora Palacios.
Some of them also came accompanied by their pets.
A blessing not only attended the neighbors of the Apulia and around the town of Alguazas also brought together people from other neighboring towns. '
Most of them came with their pets, that have the blessing of St. Anthony for the rest of the year.
This time, we could see a wide variety of pets such as dogs, birds and even ferrets.
