The City of Alguazas, next to the Tourist Consortium and Northwest Greenway Cajamar Foundation delivered the diplomas to the schools in the municipality to contribute to the revegetation of the road.
On the occasion of World Environmental Education, held last Thursday 26 January, the public schools of the municipality of Alguazas, CEIP Nuestra Señora del Carmen and the Monte Anaor CEIP, received the diplomas to be recognized for its work in education environmental children.
The mayor of the municipality, José Antonio Fernández Lladó and Education and Tourism Councillor, Isabel Zamora, as well as the manager of the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway, Juan Soria, they handed over the diplomas to the directors of both schools in the Hall Acts of the Consistory.
The event was attended by the Director and Head of Studies of the school Our Lady of Carmen, Josefina Francisco Cantero and Bernal, and the Monte Anaor CEIP, its director, José Luis Bernal, also attended the ceremony a group of children, of both schools, representing students who had participated in reforestation.
The reason for such diplomas is the contribution of the campaign school 'Green I love you, Via Verde', held during the month of November 2011, in the First Week of the revegetation.
During this week, students from both schools attended lectures and workshops 'field' of the reforestation of the road, passing by Alguazas.
Through its work, the greenway has several hundred native species of plants, which not only helps improve the appearance of the road but also to respect the environment.
