The PP Alguazas, as also shown by the government of Mariano Rajoy, has taken another step to end the welfare of the residents of Alguazas.
Councillor of Social Services, Maria Dolores Hernandez Garcia, tax, effective May 2, users of home help service to pay a fee of 5 € per hour.
So far, this service was free.
In our town are 29 families who benefit from it, 27 ordinary regime (Monday to Friday) and two special scheme (holidays).
Alguazas City Council has decided to impose the rate of 5 € / hour at the ordinary system users, and directly eliminate extraordinary home care.
With this measure, the Department of Social Services is not only limiting access to the service to most users, but also is evicting the two families that had used the aid at home on holidays, now will not have of any protection system.
One cause of this measure is that both the economic contribution of the Autonomous Region as the City Council have been reduced drastically.
Last year, the Autonomous Community funded this service with € 31,295, while the City Council provided € 10,432 Alguazas.
However, by 2012, the Community and reduces the amount left in € 8,035; Alguazas City Council, meanwhile, will only make this year the amount of 2,678 €.
The reduction is 75% by both parties.
Performances like this confirms once more that the PP will not do nothing for the ordinary citizen suffers as little as possible to the crisis.
As always, the cuts on the right look in the same direction: education, health, culture or, as in this case, social services.
Alguazas neighbors through measures like this are once again victims of a government unsupportive and insensitive to the weak.
