The first edition of the Fun Run Alguazas villa, which was held on June 3, has beaten all expectations of participation with nearly four hundred runners.
This initiative, organized by the Department of Sports, is included in the program of activities of the 2012 Patron of the town.
The first to participate were smaller Pre-Benjamins, who traveled a distance of 500 meters.
Behind them, the Benjamins and Fry who ran 1,500 meters, the Children and Cadets of 3,000 meters, Juniors and Veterans Féminas D, with 5,000 meters and finally the Senior and Veterans A, B and C, with 6,000 meters.
The Councillor for Sports, Joaquín López Verdú, said, "This initiative aims to promote sport among young people and adults, and promote citizen participation."
López Verdú also emphasized that "the success of participation, both local and brokers generally have met our expectations and has made and think in an upcoming issue for next year."
The winners and second and third place, the different categories were presented with a trophy.
The Queen of the Festival, Ana Isabel Alfonso Garcia, accompanied by old ladies and children, were in charge of delivering the awards.
Program participants and boosting youth participation "Sum Going" performed volunteer work during the test, developed with great success.
The test was organized and managed by the company Leitsport, while the session was responsible for coordinating the security forces and local police and civil protection, health care services and sports volunteers.
In addition the Department of Youth and Sports, organized competitions and the lower pre-Benjamin, Benjamin, Kids and Cadet.
