With its publication in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia for the day on June 7 this year, has entered into force on the cooperation agreement signed last May 3 between the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and the City of Alguazas, through the Department of Education, in order to implement a Classroom Occupational, attached to an educational center of the town (in this case, the Secondary School, IES, "Villa de Alguazas") and intended to prevention and control of absenteeism of students currently studying IT.
Under this bilateral agreement, the said Department is committed to providing regional a primary school teacher full time and one part-time, as well as a technical teacher FP for the development of Occupational Hall, also to facilitate both the monitoring of absenteeism of students, such as coordinating centers and educational services to the Municipal Truancy Service and also to establish monitoring mechanisms on the age of compulsory school population attending coordination with families and relevant municipal services, of so that it is possible to work on the causes of absenteeism of students, encouraging their reduction or elimination.
For its part, the Consistory alguaceño develop both targeting the promotion of projects and complementary activities in the field of foreign educational compensation, that are intended to ensure the enrichment of educational opportunities and equal opportunities in education as to facilitate proper infrastructure and provision of classrooms and workshops to develop the Classroom and the Occupational endowment sufficient to operate, some actions will be complemented by the provision, by the local council, a municipal technician to coordinate the program and follow up of children of Occupational Hall and the provision of those municipal resources that promote adequate development of it.
For operation of the Occupational Classroom, which provides their teaching practices to a total of 15 students, the Education, Training and Employment has allocated for this present academic year 2011-2012 an amount of money estimated at 76,645 euros.
Note that a Classroom Occupational these features provides an alternative educational and vocational students who have high rates of truancy and, therefore, a significant curricular gaps, or to those who have not won the title of Secondary and now have a second chance to get it and learn a trade.
According to data provided by the very Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Regional Government, 70 percent of students participating in vocational classes continue their studies, and 60 percent of students enrolled in Vocational Training Program succeeds in obtaining the title of the ESO.
