Reducing aid and grants obliges clubs to raise rates and complicates the youth participation in sport
The independent local party Unity for Alguazas has submitted to the City Council an initiative to promote the sport in the town.
The PP in December approved a budget reduction of 62% in the provision for grants to sports clubs, so that reduced the amount of euros 17800-6800.
UXA rejected the measure and introduced an amendment in this regard, as well as two claims that were rejected by the PP.
This budget reduction, increased to that seen last year, the economic situation worsens sports clubs, undermining their performance and condition their sport.
Sports clubs have had to increase their fees in order to make the payments.
Clubs that have more athletes, the soccer and football, have had to go up to 240 and 200 euros dues, respectively.
"If we go up we can not pay fees of referees, federation or clothing expenses" appear from the clubs.
Moreover, from independents criticizes delay in the consistory paid subsidies, making it difficult season clubs and have to rely on private support.
Several members of Unity for Alguazas policies have met with several sports clubs to see the internal problem that is causing cuts in sport.
"In the next few weeks will continue to meet with other clubs," said party spokesman, José Gabriel García Barnabas.
Several months ago, UXA criticized the city government that the sport was scarce and uncertain, first, the lack of alternatives and the support they receive little clubs and, second, by the neglect that have sports facilities in the municipality.
"This hurts everyone, just because the rates and facilities status prevents them from participating individually and others because the club dues are very high," says Garcia Barnabas.
UXA advocates increasing municipal aid to the sport, they are the best way to counter excess nutrition younger and make friends and meet people.
"We support the sport that promotes values ​​such as teamwork and personal growth and remove stress and improve the academic performance of students" states.
In Alguazas, sports facilities are abandoned and some even in disuse for lack of maintenance by the municipality.
