Alguazas City Council has wanted to be an early riser in the cleaning, maintenance and conservation of both the existing scuppers in the municipality and the public sewers of the town, in order to prevent the problems caused by the heavy rains that often have during the autumn months.
These upgrading works, promoted joint initiative of the departments of Planning and Environment and Public Works and Services alguaceño Consistory, were held from August 23 to September 6 and in that time has cleared all scuppers of the population, some tasks have been developed rather quickly and progressively in the different towns (districts and districts) in the city.
Scuppers, items that collect rainwater and introduced into the sewer system, often bridged decreasing its drainage capacity, so the service concessionaire municipal CESPA, clean strengthens its entry in autumn thus anticipating the arrival of the rainy season and water year, which begins October 1.
