Gender violence is one of the ills that plague society at the time and the fight against its pernicious effects supports truce.
To raise awareness of the desirable eradication of this evil which does not distinguish age, condition and social status, economic or cultural, the Department of Equality and Human Services Alguazas City Council, in collaboration with the Association of Women in the locality, has scheduled a series of activities and events to develop in the context of the symbolic date of November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women.
The agenda awareness initiatives planned to commemorate the said event will start at 11 am on the morning of November 22, Friday, with the establishment of the Bureau of Local Coalition against Gender Violence that, chaired by the Councillor for Equality, Maria Dolores Hernandez Garcia, will feature in the Meeting Room of the Town Hall of the Director General responsible Regional Government, Veronica Lopez Garcia, city officials led by Mayor Jose Antonio Fernandez Lladó, and representatives of various groups and organizations represented in this technical and advisory body.
