The president of the Community, Alberto Garre, today stressed that the treatment plant Alguazas "is the last great treatment plant with the regional network, which allows all our municipalities recovery and reuse of wastewater ends."

With the commissioning of this new plant, wastewater from all municipalities in the region may be treated in the 48 high-tech treatment plants that make up the regional network.

The new treatment plant Alguazas, with a treatment capacity of 15,000 cubic meters of water a day, is designed with modern and advanced technologies that include specific tertiary treatment system for wastewater reuse in agriculture.
It also provides all the environmental protection measures and a full deodorization process and soundproofing.
This WWTP serves not only to the treatment of water from the population, but also the industrial area of ​​the town.
