The young athlete Natalia alguaceña Hidalgo was proclaimed on February 15 runners cadet at the 38th Regional Cross Country Championships in the individual category, in a round in Jumilla over a distance of 3225 meters.
In this competition Hidalgo was behind Angela Lucas, champion, and ahead of Maria Alarcon, third, both belonging to "UCAM-Athleo Cieza".
With this silver medal strain the young athlete Alguazas represent the colors of our region in Spain Championship Offroad be held in Guadalajara on 28 March.
Natalia had earned the passport to this regional championship thanks to second place reached the finals of "Program for School Age Sport", held a week earlier in Puerto Lumbreras.
An initiative launched a year by the Department of Youth and Sports of the regional government, and which this year among all modalities involved approximately 700 students in public schools teachers in Alguazas.
